Jen Herman of CCSI receives prestigious award

At the 2007 Governor's Conference on Aging Jen Herrman received the 2007 Outstanding Case Manager of the Year Award. Jen was selected based on her outstanding qualifications as a Case Manager. The Outstanding Case Manager of the Year Award was presented to Jen by the lllinois Council of Case Coordination Units. Jen has been a Case Manager for Community Care Systems, Inc. since April of 2001 in our Bloomington CCU office.

Jen Herrman is a true team player. The Case Coordination Unit has been using the Comprehensive Assessment for the past few years. The challenge for the office was with the tracking of the intensive monitoring and follow up. Jen works with the other case managers to develop a system to ensure the follow up and monitoring is being completed. She rallies the other case managers to embrace the new system. Jen is willing to take the necessary steps to get the job done. She assists her coworkers whenever possible and always has a word of encouragement. Her dedication has given her the opportunity to become an able and admired supervisor for our Bloomington CCU office.

Jen is a true professional. She represents not only Community Care Systems, Inc. but also the Aging Network in a professional manner. She is a cofounder ofthe McLean County Senior Service Council, which is an educational, and networking meeting for agencies involved with the senior population in McLean County. She coordinates the monthly meetings and arranges for the educational component of the meeting. In addition, she represents CCSI at the Caregiver Advisory Council. Jen is able to go to any meeting and represent the Company in a professional manner but also can contribute significantly to the topic at hand. Finally, Jen has not met a Health Fair, County Fair and Resource Fair that she has not liked. She is always willing to volunteer if it means informing area seniors about the services and resources available in the community.
